It also seems like Sinclair is starting to realize that Delenn is not what she seems. It was unfortunate that we didn’t get to see much of the other cast members, but Delenn plays a big part near the latter half of the episode. I didn’t think that the blank spot was going to be that important, but it seems that it may prove to be an important plot point. It’s an effective way of pulling you deeper into the story. While he remembers what happened, he still wants to know why they did it. We do get at least some answers as Sinclair learns that he was taken aboard the Ninbari ship. Its intensity, but I guess they were going for dreamlike. Unfortunately, it’s in slow motion, which robs the fight of Sinclair’s backstory does get fleshed out as we see flashbacks to that climactic fight. Considering that he’s a villain, I guess it’s more understandable though. He chewed that scenery like a stick of gum. The Knight who interrogated him wasn’t much better. It mostly comes from Sinclair, who seems to be in a slump when it comes to turning in a convincing performance. Maybe they had a warrant or the 2258 equivalent, but it’s unsettling nonetheless. Now that I think about it, the fact that they were able to access his bank records so easily is a bit unnerving. I guess he wanted the bookies off his back, but you’d think he’d want to cover his tracks a little better. Withdrawals all at once would raise suspicion. I was surprised that the crewman was not smart enough to realize that a large deposit and several large. Sinclair even points out beforehand that his debt compromises station security, but the guy tries to play it off like it’s not a big deal. The subplot about the one crewmen who was having financial troubles due to gambling may’ve seemed like padding, but he was the one who allowed them access on board the station, so he served his purpose. That didn’t seem to be the case, though it’s made clear that there are larger forces at work here. When he gave his speech about how the Ninbari were corrupting mankind through subterfuge, I figured that this was the work of the Human Guard again, the rhetoric did seem to match. As they point out, the Ninbari could’ve easily crushed the resistance, but instead surrendered. The episode is dramatic enough and it seems like they are trying to build this sub-plot up as the meat of the overall arc. They even go so far as to accuse Sinclair of betraying Earth and selling them out to the Ninbari. Sinclair stands by his story that he blacked out, but they are skeptical. They manage to trap him in a prison inside his own mind and reveal that they are trying to find out what happened in that 24 hour period.

I figured it was an assassination attempt, but the real endeavor is, oddly enough, far more sinister. It’s set off when two men manage to sneak aboard the space station and reveal that they have plans to target Commander Sinclair. Follow Support This episode focuses on the 24 hour blank spot in Commander Sinclair’s memory before the end of the war.
